This is an excellent assortment of profiles of little known figures in history. The people featured are a decent cross-section of humanity including multiple racial groups and points of impact. Athletes, daredevils, scientists and social activists, all of these people made notable changes and are largely forgotten. The profiles are well written and accessible for middle grade readers through teens.
